Guests checked coats, cloaks and armour at the front entry. The kitchens served scallops shipped in from the coast and champagne, both absurd luxuries in the middle of a mountain range, and the head chef held his own kitchen against ghouls without help. During the attack the halls filled with ghouls feeding on nobles, merchants and servants, and a portal opened in the courtyard behind a thin line of guards.

The manor sits on high ground in Ironwatch with a view over the city and out to the wall and the gorge. The party moved through its courtyard and gazebo, its entryway and great hall, side rooms used as galleries, the serving side of the kitchens, and the stairway down to the wine cellar. A stairway runs six or seven storeys up to Lord Garrick's archer's nest, from which the whole city can be seen.

What We Know

The Valecourt family seat in Ironwatch, built on the top of a hill with a tower rising six or seven floors that Garrick uses as an archer's nest. The main level includes a courtyard with a gazebo, a Great Hall where Garrick holds court, a dining hall, a kitchen with a serving area, and side bedrooms. A stairway leads down to a study and the wine cellar in the basement.

During the betrothal ball, ghouls appeared throughout the manor out of thin air, summoned through a portal in the courtyard. A second, smaller and more stable portal was discovered in the basement corridor near the wine cellar.
